Catholic Choral Symposium
St. Peter’s Catholic Church in New Hamburg is delighted to announce our Fourth Annual Catholic Choral Symposium from July 3 to 6th, 2025!
Proceedings begin at 5 pm on Thursday, July 3, at the campus of Our Lady of Mount Carmel Academy, 2483 Bleams Road, New Hamburg. They conclude with farewell festivities after Vespers & Benediction on Sunday, July 6.
The Symposium is a weekend festival of sacred music, camaraderie, and inspirational instruction. Under the guidance of our world-class faculty, music-lovers from near & far prepare polyphony, chant and organ for Sunday Mass, Vespers and Benediction. Together we enjoy delicious meals & fireworks, sing Compline (and lighter things!), and make an excursion to the sights & fine dining of gorgeous southern Ontario. This year our focus is the sacred music of Lotti and the Italian Baroque.
In the spirit of glorifying God and offering Him perfect praise through the splendour of the traditional liturgy, join us for these four days which will feature:
- Daily Mass
- Vocal Technique
- Gregorian Chant
- Organ Coaching
- Chant Accompaniment
- Directing Workshop
- Masterclasses
- Group Outing
- Much more!
Early bird registration is $275 up until May 1st, and $315 thereafter. The fee includes all meals except for Friday breakfast and Saturday’s restaurant outing. Participants make their own arrangements for accommodation.
